Four Girl Scouts in Troop 8343 Earn their Silver Award

Four girls from Troop 8343 (from left to right:  Mackenzie, Elena, Revati and Kirstin earned their Silver award and received their award at the Annual Silver Award Ceremony held at the California Center for the Arts on November 17th.  They were among 377 girls from the San Diego Council who completed their awards.  Mackenzie's project involved obtaining and training with malaria nets in Sumba, Indonesia.  Elena worked with Blue Sky Ecological Reserve in creating a patch program and leading hikes to allow for permanent trail markers to be purchased. Revati created and provided training to allow for girls to defend themselves.  Kirstin worked with Rady Children's Hospital's Cancer ward in providing children with videos to entertain them while in the hospital.
